The Springer Opera House is happy to announce the return of the First Act Program with Going on a Bear Hunt! The First Act Program is a new touring initiative from the Springer’s Education office that presents a live, interactive, and educational performance meant for families with children ages 1-8.
This program will consist of a 30 minute pre-show with fun activities meant to introduce children and families to arts-based creative play through drama, music, movement, and art. First Act will then present Going on a Bear Hunt, and this won’t be just any normal play where you sit and watch– this will be active and immersive!
Baby Bear needs YOUR help to overcome the challenges presented in the story as they move forward. Children and caregivers will all be encouraged to participate in the production. Families will walk away with social emotional skills such as conflict resolution, self soothing skills, and using words to express emotion.
The best part about all of this? Every event is completely FREE - you just have to show up!
